Moving client's IT Systems to new premises.

“The BIG move to new premises”

Having worked with Colin, Denise and their team at Preform Insulations for many years through our close

partnership with ETC (East Anglia) Limited

DNS was invited in to help them hit the ground running when they moved into their new premises on the Hellesdon Park Road Industrial Estate at the end of October.

Our work for Preform involved providing them with a new Internet service and hosted telephone system delivered by our telecoms partner,

Red5 Networks using their Ultranet service, while simultaneously helping them get their existing kit online at the new site.

This included several PCs, wired and wireless networking, a multi-function printer and a plotter.

This work was also tied in with three new PCs which we set up, incorporating them with their Microsoft 365 package,

their local file shares and Sage accounting system, along with transferring data from new to old hardware.

Additionally, we deployed a secure method of remote access to allow them, for the first time, to work from home during the pandemic.

And finally, as part of ongoing work to improve, develop and maintain their systems, we put in position a secure,

offsite backup system to cover their onsite and Microsoft 365 data with our own in-house developed Presidium cloud backup

platform which combines with technologies from Veeam and Backup Assist so that Preform Insulations can sleep easy at

night knowing that wherever they store their information,

its protected against accidental deletion, malware attacks, data corruption or hardware failure.

Speaking to Denise and Katie about the move, they were “very happy with how it all went on the day”.

Subsequently it was smooth and trouble-free, and the business was back up and running first thing on Monday morning.

Dan was and still is on hand to answer any of their queries.

They have found the newly added ability of remote access very successful, giving them flexibility especially in these uncertain times.
